The 190/55/17 Road 5 GT actually measures about 203-205mm. Initially, Michelin indicated that 205mm is within acceptable variance for a 190 tire and wasn't going to refund or replace. This is the same tire size recommended for the SDGT. So, I measured and found that the 205 width would fit on my SDGT, so I wasn't concerned.

29 posts · Joined 2021. #5 · Jun 1, 2023. I had a 2018 GSX S1000 now a 1290 SDR. I was thinking today how much better the 1290 is. Smoother throttle, better brakes, suspension and tech. The GSX was tuned and had full system. These modes made it powerful but snatchy with the throttle. I believe the GT has the throttle improved.
